I draw my inspiration from the natural world, a huge subject with endless diversity and fragility. More recently my repertoire has included not just the endangered or extinct but more successful species, often despised, such as wasps or seagulls. They too have their beauty. |

| Most of all I would like to evoke another world from my imagination. Quite often I start very straight studies from photos which I have taken. This, for me is a necessary process to glean enough visual information for later more imagined images. Using media of glass, drawing and painting these works illustrate narratives from sketch books and journals of my stories or poems. |
