shot from the Hubble Space station, imagery
from earlier moon missions combined with
my fascination for science fiction from
John Wyndam, to Arthur C. Clarke, fuel visions
of potential abstract as well as more factual
imagery. Also a constant source of awe,
are .the NASA websites especially the ongoing
Cassini Saturn flyby and the Huygens probe
to Titan, where, for instance, scientists
have discovered that it is so cold that
rain is formed of liquid methane resulting
in huge, slow falling drops that carve the
icy landscapes. |
